Fluon® PTFE RESINS - AQUEOUS DISPERSIONS
Fluon® aqueous dispersion (AD) resins can provide the benefits of PTFE to substrates like fiberglass cloth and metals through impregnating or coating. The benefits include thermal stability to at least 500°F, extreme chemical inertness, low coefficient of friction, and excellent 'nonstick' properties. Products consist of small negatively charged particles of PTFE, ranging from 0.25 - 0.28µm in mean diameter depending on the grade. The dispersion may contain additional surfactants for stability and wetting properties.

FLUON®PTFE COAGULATED DISPERSION POWDERS
Fluon® coagulated dispersion (CD) polymers are made from aqueous dispersions of polytetrafluoroethylene and supplied as soft, white powders. CD polymers are used for the extrusion of thin flexible sections, typical applications being wire insulation, tubing, and unsintered tape. For thicker sections, Fluon® granular powders are normally used. Fluon® coagulated dispersion powders comply with the specifications of ASTM D 4895-98.

SUMMARY OF FLUON® PTFE GRANULAR POWDERS
Fluon® granular polymers are pure PTFE powders with a range of particle sizes and properties. They are commonly used in compression molding of billets, isostatic molding of intricate shapes, automatic molding of stock shapes, compounding with fillers, and ram extrusion of rod and tubing.
