Fluon® Filled PTFE Compounds are a family of products suited for compression molding. The fillers include glass, carbon, graphite, and metal powders such as bronze and molybdenum disulfide and pigment as colorants. Fluon® Filled PTFE compounds are available in a variety of non-pelletized and pelletized products, as well as custom blended compounds to meet your specific needs - all free of lead and cadmium pigments.
Non-Pelletized Compounds are manufactured in powder form and used in applications that demand the highest mechanical strength - such as thick wall billets that are then processed into parts used in chemical processing and petroleum industries as bearings, seals and gaskets.
Pelletized Compounds have higher bulk density and flow properties and are easily processed in automatic molding equipment. These compounds readily flow from standard design hoppers and other bulk feeding equipment. Pelletized compounds are used primarily in automotive parts such as self-lubricating bearings, gaskets, valve seals and sealing rings.
